PROBUS — the magazine

The ideal way to keep up-to-date with Probus issues and find

out what other clubs are up to

This issue we launch the 2009 Probus National Photographic competition. The standard of last year’s entries was amazing with readers obviously taking extra care in capturing Probians in the true spirit of Probus and doing what they do best — enjoying friendship and fellowship. The total value of prizes for this years competition is over $15,000! So get your entries in.

Our cover story features the Daintree Rainforest — an ancient wonderland in our own backward. Did you know that the Daintree is older than the Amazon. This magical rainforest is a great drive destination and is still a well-kept secret from many Queenslanders.

PROBUS — the magazine has fantastic giveaways and prizes every issue. Regular prizes include an Akubra hat in conjunction with the Air Adventure Australia Probus Puzzle Page; Trade Travel’s fantastic holiday to Hamilton Island and of course book vouchers awarded to readers for their interesting contributions.

Also up for grabs this issue is a chance to win a three-day getaway for two to the NSW Central Coast staying at Treetops Resort, Avoca, including breakfast and free entry into participating attractions.

From the PCSP — Management Matters keeps Probus club committees and members informed. The Membership Forum is a question and answer section aimed at providing a forum to address issues relating to administration, constitutional or policy matters that may involve clubs and its membership and to assist in the development and promotion of strategic plans for the future.

Probus Pars continues to be one of the most popular sections of the magazine. Take a peek at what other club’s from all around Australia get up to — where they holiday and interesting places they visit.

This issue is jam-packed with interesting articles and features. So, when you’re up-to-date with Probus issues, have been inspired by what other clubs have achieved, decided where your next holiday destination will be, turn to the Smile page, relax and have a giggle.

PROBUS — the magazine is real value-for-money and is the only official publication for Probus members throughout Australia.
