Golf    Coordinator-Robert McKay

Golf is usually a 9 hole event played at the Glen Waverley course on the first Wednesday each month.

Craft & Cuppa    Coordinator-Peggy Renshaw

This is usually held on the second Thursday each month and often involves knitting of jumpers, beanies and scarves for such needy recipients such as African orphan children. Recently they have been providing lessons in those attending and wishing to gain skills in ribbon embroidery.

Dine-out     Coordinator-Ken Fitzpatrick

Dine-out dinners are held on the third Thursday evening each month varying from local restaurants with a gourmet cuisine to a hotel dinner. These dinners usually have 30-40 attend and beside enjoying a great meal, the fellowship is a bonus.

   

 

Strollers Club     Coordinator-Joyce Barber

Members join in and have a casual walk at their own pace and distance at Jells Park. After the walk, members enjoy a BYO cuppa and chat.

 

Theatre and concert lovers group                 Coordinators-Alma and Brian Brand

This group arranges group bookings to some of the local staged plays and concerts provided by established repertoire groups to locations such as the Peridot and Alexander Theatres. Occasionally arrangements are made to major events such as ‘Wicked’ held this year at the Regent Theatre. 

Saturday/Sunday Club     Coordinator-Barbara Owens

To enable those wanting to occupy occasional weekends by attending an event, this group has such outings planned as going to a Farmer’s Market (August), Wattle Park BBQ (September), St Kilda Pier (October) and a Puffing Billy lunch (November).

Past events have seen a cocktail party and a jazz show at the Zoo.

 

 

Garden Club     Coordinator-Marlene O’Loughlin

This is a newly formed group and meetings have included travelling to different gardens as well as sharing cuttings and plants at a home meeting.

Cards

Cards usually involve the popular ‘500’ game held at the home of Ron and Judy Davies on the second Wednesday each month followed by a supper. Fun is had by all participating.

  

Caravan and Camping     Coordinator-Graham Angus

This group undertakes multi‑day trips that also enable those without caravans to participate in, as the parks selected usually have cabins available for hire. Recent trips have included Lodden Valley and Beechworth.

Computer Club     Coordinator-Clive Windley

This group originally provided a tutorial group session but now consists of a number of members offering one-to-one basis assistance in digital imaging, file and folder management and assistance in other programs such as Excel.
