Venue
Construction of St Peter’s Anglican Cathedral commenced in 1869 with the
initial section being completed and services started in 1877.
The remainder of the nave was completed by
1901 and the two towers by 1902.
The Lady Chapel was completed in
1904 and the last section, the front steps, were finished in 1911.
The wooden sculptures on the High Altar Reredos were executed in England
and depict people and angels who have been important for some reason to
the people of the British Church.
