THE PROBUS ASSOCIATION OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA

The Association was formed in 1985 by Probus Clubs to provide centralized support for Clubs. All clubs in the State have chosen to join. Clubs come together in March each year for the Association Annual General Meeting where members elect a new Committee and explore matters of general interest.

The Association’s role is a supportive one and it provides a central focal point for the clubs. Support comes in the form of general assistance to clubs; An annual directory of clubs and their officers, information booklets listing interesting Guest Speakers and attractive locations for Social Outings, and an update on Probus matters in the monthly “News & Notes” and “Enews”

To assist incoming Presidents and other Officers the Association in conjunction with the Rotary District Probus Chairmen arranges an annual "Information Day” and other specific “get togethers” at which experienced members provide guidance on roles and attendees can “network” on issues. The Association also organizes outings at large venues not easily accessed by individual Clubs to promote fellowship and fun across all Clubs at relatively low cost.

A most important service to members is the journal "Probus West" containing information about club activities and other items of interest. It is available to all members through their clubs.
